Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Juan Marrero, junior, King’s Fork High School baseball: The senior had two hits and three RBIs in the game against Grassfield High School to help the Bulldogs to a win. It was the first Bulldogs win against Grassfield in the program’s history.
• Sarah Rhiel, sophomore, Nansemond River High School soccer: Rhiel had two goals, helping the Lady Warriors to a win over Oscar Smith High School.
• Emerson Puzey, junior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball: Puzey went 3-3 and had three RBIs in a win against John A. Holmes High School. She pitched the game and also had nine strikeouts.
