Three people were injured early Saturday when their vehicle ran off the road.

The crash in the 600 block of Turlington Road was reported at 3:34 a.m. Preliminary investigation found that a Chevrolet Impala left the roadway and struck a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was parked under a detached carport and then traveled about 75 feet and hit a tree. The Impala then caught on fire.

The driver and two passengers were able to escape the vehicle before emergency personnel arrived. Firefighters extinguished the flames and searched the vehicle to confirm there were no other occupants.
