Chuck’s Fashions opens downtown

A new apparel store celebrated its ribbon cutting in historic downtown Suffolk on Wednesday.
Chuck’s Fashions, located at 140 W. Washington St. in the Damiani Mall, offers casual clothing items for men, women and children, along with accessories such as hats, jewelry and coats.
“We are happy to be open in downtown Suffolk, because it was important to be close to our customers,” owner Eric Brown Sr. said.
The store is named after Brown’s son, Eric “Chuck” Brown Jr., who was killed in a car accident earlier this year.
Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
