Shannon Evans II has scored 15-plus points in 10 of Arizona State University’s 16 games so far.
Arizona State University men’s basketball team is currently 13-3 on the season. Evans, a former Nansemond River High School standout, is in the midst of his best season. As a senior, he is averaging 17.1 points per game. He has scored 20 or more in seven of those games.
ASU is among the best teams in the country at the moment, and Evans is a big reason why. A few games ago, the Suffolk native was in a shooting slump. However, he spoke with ASU alumni and current NBA All-Star James Harden for advice to get back to shooting well. In his last two games, he has combined for 41 points.
Evans will try to continue his exuberant scoring Saturday when ASU takes on Oregon State University.
