One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning, according to a city press release.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Meadow Country Road and Skeetertown Road at about 8 a.m., the press release stated.

The adult female driver was extricated from the vehicle by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel and, following emergency medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel, was transported by ground to an area hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available for release.
