Essie L. Cook, 76, of 1302 Dover Court, Betty Davis Village, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at her residence.

She was a domestic worker at Birdsong Recreation Center.

She was a member of Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando, its Missionary Circle, Pastor’s Aide, choir, and Sunday School. She was a member of the Orlando Civic League.

Survivors include two devoted and loving friends, Gloria Jean Bagley and Emily Davis of Suffolk.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, in Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando, by the Rev. Dr. Henry G. Baker. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dill Road.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Sunday in Harris Funeral Home Inc. 685 Carolina Road.

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Monday for viewing.

Family and friends will assemble in Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando, Hosier Road, for the funeral.
