The Lady Cavaliers struggled to score the entire game, connecting on 11 field goals.

“We played up and down and in spurts,” NR head coach R. Calvin Mason said. “I felt like we won because of individual talent versus playing like a real team, which won’t work against the good teams.”

Ashante Humphries paced the Lady Warriors with 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four rebounds. Denell Fox added 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lady Warriors host the Deep Creek Hornets Friday evening at 7 p.m. The Lady Cavaliers travel Friday evening to take on the Great Bridge Wildcats.
