NRHS boys fall to Great Bridge

The Nansemond River High School boys’ volleyball ended what had been developing as a comeback season with a loss in the semifinals of the Southeastern District tournament on Tuesday.

The Warriors fell in four sets to Great Bridge — 17-25, 26-24, 14-25 and 15-25.

Nick Seibert had 14 assists, Tucker Rhoads had seven kills, Adrian Drew had five blocks and six kills and Nate Welch had 21 digs.

“Great year,” Coach James Vann stated in an email. “We finished the year out by winning six out of our last eight matches.”
