Mr. Willie Lee Riddick, 68, of 4940 West Military Highway, Chesapeake, died May 30, 2005 in Obici Memorial Hospital. A

native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Stafford Riddick and Dora Jordan Riddick.

He retired from his own business after several years.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Riddick; a daughter, Meredith B. Butts (Michael) of Suffolk; one sister, Doris Major of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Shameka Britt of Suffolk and Samuel E. Britt of Darmstad, Germany; five sisters-in-law, Pinkie Williams of Norfolk, Lucy Beamon of Suffolk, Mary Gray of Williamsburg, Vertley Thorpe and Hilda Williams both of Suffolk; two brothers-in-law, Willie Giles of Suffolk and Harry Giles of New York, N.Y.; 17 nieces, 15 nephews; and a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 in Rising St. James Holiness Church by Bishop Dwight Whitfield. The interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will be a 320 Greenfield Crescent in Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge of arrangements.
