Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help identifying suspects and finding firearms stolen from a local gun shop this weekend.

A citizen advised officers on Sunday that two juvenile males had been seen walking in the area of Jackson Street with rifles, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.

Officers responded to the area and located several firearms they identified as having come from Southern Gun Works, located in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Police went to the business and found the building had been forced open. Eleven firearms had been stolen.

Police recovered nine of the firearms, but two — as well as the suspects responsible — are still at large.
