The woman who struck the Chick-fil-A cow in the restaurant’s drive-through will avoid jail time related to the incident.
Katrina Lovett Boone, 38, initially was charged with felony hit and run after the incident in which the employee’s leg was injured. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor hit and run.
City spokeswoman Diana Klink said at the time that Boone stopped briefly and inquired after the 19-year-old victim but then drove away.
Boone was sentenced last week to a year in jail with all of the time suspended. She will serve three years of unsupervised probation and must pay $900 of restitution and $272 in other costs.
