The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting the investigation.

The arrest is at least the eighth this calendar year for students accused of making bomb threats at school. A 20-year-old junior at King’s Fork High School, Abdul Dshawn Dixon, was arrested in May and accused of bomb threats at his school. His trial is set for Dec. 9.

In June, the Fire Marshal’s Office arrested six juveniles in connection with a series of threats at Lakeland High School and King’s Fork and John F. Kennedy middle schools.
