A fifth-grader at Elephant’s Fork Elementary School has been suspended after allegedly being caught with a cigarette and suspected marijuana.

The boy was observed on a school bus with a silver cigarette case containing the items, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.

School division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said the student has been suspended pending an expulsion hearing, following procedures outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
