The score was 5-1 as King’s Fork High School girls’ soccer team lost to visiting Great Bridge High School on Wednesday.

Freshman Cydney Nichols recorded the goal for the Lady Bulldogs.

Communicating via text message, their head coach, Jason Stump, said it was an “overall big improvement over last year, especially considering we played without a few starters.”

They were sidelined due to illness.

The Lady Bulldogs were set to visit Indian River High School on Friday evening, weather permitting.
