Lady Bulldogs roll over Indian River
The King’s Fork High School girls’ soccer team earned a 6-1 victory over host Indian River High School on Friday night.
“Very proud of the entire team’s effort,” KF head coach Jason Stump stated via text message.
Lady Bulldogs freshman Cydney Nichols scored five goals and had one assist, while junior Lindsay Ransome chipped in one goal and had two assists. Freshman Becca Washburn and sophomore Emma Marston each had an assist, as well.
Stump described the impact the win will have on his team.
“I think it boosts our confidence after coming off two tough games,” he stated. “It also validates what I know they’ve been capable of. They are a team of very different players and personalities, but when they are united in a common goal, it’s a wonderful thing to see no matter the end result.”
