Suffolk police are seeking a suspect in a robbery that took place at a local nail salon on Easter Sunday.
The crime took place about 4:34 p.m. at the Rainbow Nail Salon in the 1200 block of North Main Street, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.
The manager told police that a black male wearing a white mask, black hooded shirt and black pants entered the store, pointed a handgun at the manager and demanded money.
The manager handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and the gunman left on foot.
Several employees and customers were in the salon at the time, but there were no injuries, Klink said.
The investigation continues. Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
