The Lakeland High School baseball team handed a 4-1 loss on Tuesday to visiting Denbigh High School.

Jefferson Knights of the Cavaliers went 2-for-4, including a triple and he scored a run. Austin Mills went 1-for-2, with a walk, a run batted in and one run scored, while Tyler Lilley also went 1-for-2, with an RBI and a run scored.

Blake Harris got the win as pitcher, throwing a complete game. He gave up eight hits, no earned runs and had three strikeouts.

Lakeland (3-10, 1-3) hosts Nansemond River High School (12-2, 4-0) on Friday.
