Police were called after a male Southwestern Elementary School student was found with a knife on the school bus Wednesday afternoon, officials stated.

The knife had a blade less than 3 inches long, school division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said.

No students were threatened or injured, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.

No decision had yet been made Wednesday regarding disciplinary action.
