Indian River trumps KF in volleyball

Indian River High School’s girls’ volleyball team may have defeated visiting King’s Fork High School on Tuesday evening, but the Lady Bulldogs made the Lady Braves earn it.

The two squads traded sets before Indian River strung two together in an 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-13, 16-14 win.

Junior Jazlyn Dunn led King’s Fork with eight kills and four blocks, while senior Tiffany Cox led the team with six digs.

The King’s Fork boys’ volleyball team also fell to Indian River, 24-26, 25-19, 24-26, 21-25.

The Lady Bulldogs and the boys’ team host Lakeland High School this evening in conference showdowns.
