Police seek assault suspect

Suffolk police are seeking help identifying a man who assaulted an employee at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Suffolk two weeks ago.
The incident occurred on Sept. 30 between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m., according to a city news release. The unknown male, who was not a guest at the facility in the 5900 block of Harbour View Boulevard, entered the hotel lobby.
When he was approached by a staff member in a stairwell, the man jumped on the victim and cut him with an unknown object before fleeing on foot.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to the news release.
The man is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, between 25 and 30 years of age and keeping close-cut hair. In the surveillance video, he was wearing a dark, V-neck T-shirt, long, light-gray sweatpants, and black shoes.
