Army Pvt. 2nd Class Jonae’ Mayo from the Second Platoon (“Death Dealers”), of Fort Jackson, S.C., has graduated from basic combat training.

She was in training for 10 weeks and received instruction in drill and

ceremony weapons, rifles, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy and history, military justice, first aid, Army traditions and core values.

Jonae’ Mayo is the daughter of Linda Hill and John Mayo of Suffolk. She graduated from Lakeland High School.
