A man was transported from Driver to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on Friday afternoon suffering from a gunshot wound.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said foul play was not suspected. She did not provide further details in response to questions, including the condition of the victim or the time the emergency call was received.

Police worked the scene at a house across from Rio Grande Traders. Owner Ronnie Gould said he didn’t know anything about what happened but that he knows the people who live there. They are good people and always smiling, he said.
