Rain shortened the Lakeland High School golf team’s Monday match against Western Branch High School to six holes. The Bruins prevailed 103-134 at Nansemond River Golf Club.

Ben Leonard led the Cavaliers with a score of 31, followed by James Whitley with a 33, Corey Hasson with a 34, Jake Hardy with a 36, Brehon Epps with a 42 and Clint Huffman with a 45. The top four individual scores counted toward the team score.

Lakeland faces Indian River High School on Thursday at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth.
