Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

•  Drequan Wilson, senior for King’s Fork High School soccer: Wilson helped beat Deep Creek High School by finishing off assists and scoring two dramatic goals in one-on-one scenarios. This pushed the Bulldogs to a 5-2 record overall.

• Brandeé Johnson, Syaira Richardson, Dajae Goulet and Morgan Towe for Nansemond River High School track: The foursome ran 46.26 seconds in the 4×100-meter relay at the Championship of America Invitational on April 29, finishing third in that event — the highest of any American team.
