Wilson has high energy and a zest for the game, said King’s Fork coach Michel Bilé, who added that what he saw Wilson do on the field was amazing.

“His energy and ability to score is very good,” Bilé said of Wilson. “What Drequan did against Lake Taylor was incredible in terms of speed.”

The Bulldogs led Lake Taylor 7-0 at the half, when Bilé pulled his starters in order to let some of their other teammates play.

“I pulled most of the starters out, and eventually I had four different goalkeepers in one game,” Bilé said.

The Bulldogs currently have the best record in the 4A conference. Bilé credits his goalkeepers, his defense’s ability to stop penetration and the midfielder’s ability to maintain possession.

Bilé stresses team unity. “Soccer is unlike other games. It’s a team concept; there is more than one player out there on the field.”

King’s Fork is 3-0 in conference play. The home non-conference victory gives the Bulldogs a 6-2 record overall. Their next game is at Churchland High School on May 18.
