Suffolk teams pick up wins

Lakeland High School, King’s Fork High School and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy all picked up wins on the field Friday night.
Lakeland High School defeated Western Branch High School 20-7 at home, moving the Cavaliers to 2-0 on the season.
King’s Fork defeated Hickory High School 31-14, also moving them to 2-0.
NSA defeated Christchurch 36-14, giving first-year head coach Mike Biehl his first victory.
“It’s great to come out here and bounce back with a win,” Biehl said. “We did everything we said we wanted to do. Now it’s time to build from here.”
