Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Nashun Overton, junior for Lakeland High School football: Overton had two rushes for 90 yards and a touchdown at home for the Cavs in a playoff win over Poquoson High 46-21.
• Nicole Wright, senior for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy volleyball: Wright had 33 assists and 10 digs for the Lady Saints in a win against Peninsula Catholic. The win helped propel the Lady Saints into the VISAA Divisoin II state championship.
• Rashaad Williams, sophomore for Nansemond River High School football: Williams returned a kickoff 86 yards for the Warriors in a 5A South playoff loss against Norview.
