Lady Bulldogs start 2-0

The Lady Bulldogs girls’ basketball team finished the first official week of the season 2-0.

After beating Hickory High School on Tuesday, 78-22, they followed it up with a 74-43 win over Indian River High School.

Senior Amesha Miller had 14 points for the Lady Bulldogs in a game where the team was up by 26 at halftime.

“I feel like we played well overall,” Miller said. “I think we could have done some things better as well, such as not giving as many points and making more shots.”

The Lady Bulldogs will be at Western Branch at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
