Player of the Week Nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Briana Autrey, junior for Nansemond River High School basketball: Autrey helped lead the Lady Warriors to a 2-0 record in the first week of the season. In the season opener, she had a triple-double for the Lady Warriors with 10 points, 13 steals and 10 rebounds to go along with five assists in a win over Oscar Smith High School. She also had 17 points against Deep Creek High School Friday night.

Raemaad Wright, senior for King’s Fork High School basketball: Wright helped lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record in the season’s opening week. In a 68-23 win over Hickory High School, he had 15 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and three blocks. He also had 12 points and 15 rebounds against Indian River High School, giving him two double-doubles to start the season.
