Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Amesha Miller, senior, King’s Fork High School girls’ basketball: Miller had 15 points for the Lady Bulldogs in a win over Lakeland earlier in the week. She followed that with a 23-point, 17-rebound performance against Grassfield Friday night. The Lady Bulldogs went 2-0 in that span.

Keontae Boyette, sophomore, Lakeland High School boys’ basketball: Boyette scored 25 points for the Cavs in a win over Hickory High school Friday night.
