Player of the Week nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Robby Tew, senior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy football: Tew went 10-13 for 250 yards and five touchdowns — throwing for four and rushing for one — in NSA’s 63-14 win over Greenbrier Christian Academy.

Elijah Askew, sophomore, King’s Fork High School football: Askew had 12 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in the Bulldogs’ win over Lakeland High School.

Allison Thompson, junior, Lakeland High School field hockey: Thompson scored a goal in the Lady Cavs’ win over King’s Fork High School.
