KF field hockey advances

King’s Fork High School’s field hockey team advanced to the 4A regional semifinals after a 9-0 victory over Churchland High School on Monday.
Anaya Godfrey led the team with four goals Monday afternoon as the Lady Bulldogs defeated Churchland at home. With the win, the Lady Bulldogs will now face Great Bridge High School in the semifinals.
Aside from Godfrey’s four goals, Meghan Bailey added a hat trick of her own. Great Bridge will provide a great challenge for King’s Fork. They are the No. 1 seed in the region and finished No. 1 in the Southeastern District as well.
