In what appears to be becoming the norm for the Norfolk State University standout, former Lady Bulldog Khadedra Croker earned her sixth Defensive Player of the Week honor, which is the most by any player.
Last week, she averaged 12.5 rebounds and two blocks in two games for NSU last week. That earned her co-Player of the Week. She earned her first double-double of the season when she scored 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds against Maryland Eastern Shore last weekend. The rebounds stat was a career high for her.
Croker averages 3.4 blocks per game, and she owns the single-season record for blocks with 84.
In her time at King’s Fork High School, she eclipsed 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds for her career. She played for Virginia Tech before transferring back home to play for NSU. She sat out for a year before officially stepping on the court for NSU this season.
NSU is currently 18-10 and will compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament against Savannah State University, which starts at 11 a.m. Monday. The MEAC tournament is held at the Norfolk Scope.
