Lakeland falls to Menchville

Sophomore Mackenzie Johnson is expected to help the Lay Cavs soccer team excel this season.

The Lady Cavs soccer team went on the road Friday and took a loss to the Monarchs.

The Lady Cavs fell 3-0 to Menchville High School. Even though it was the Lady Cavs’ first loss, Coach Adam Smith believes that was the best effort in a game his team had shown up to this point this season. Menchville is a Class 5 school.

Lakeland will try to get back on track at home against Wilson High School at 7 p.m. Monday.
