The Lakeland High School softball team grabbed a home win Wednesday evening and defeated Wilson High School.

The Lady Cavs put up 11 runs in their 11-6 victory over Wilson on Wednesday. Lakeland was able to shake off a loss to Indian River High School Tuesday and come back with a victory. Both teams had a strong first inning, with Lakeland being up only 4-3. From there, Lakeland scored in every inning but the seventh on the way to their victory.

Aryn Kinsey went 3-5 with two runs and a RBI, while Alex Kinsey went 3-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Lisa Stuprich went 3-3 with three runs and three RBIs. Aryn also added a double and two triples. Sara Matthews handled pitching duties on the evening and struck out four.
