Lady Saints shut out Brunswick

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball team went on the road to face Brunswick Academy Friday afternoon.

NSA secured a 12-0 win after a no-hitter pitched by both Reese Byrd and Emerson Puzey. Each pitched three innings, with Puzey striking out six batters and Byrd striking out three.

NSA got things started, going up 7-0 after the first two innings. Addy Greene and Gabby Infranco combined for eight hits. Greene went 4-5 with three runs, three RBIs and a home run. Infranco went 4-5 with three runs and two RBIs and added two triples. Puzey went 3-4 with one RBI.

NSA will face Peninsula Catholic High School on the road at 4:45 p.m. Monday. They are 7-0 on the season.
