Medicare sessions to be held in Suffolk, Windsor

Senior Services will host Medicare information sessions throughout May to inform and assist newly eligible beneficiaries.

Held at several locations in Western Tidewater, the presentations will teach attendees what they need to know about Medicare and Medicare Part D.

Additional assistance will be available for individuals who are enrolled or are eligible for the Part D “Extra Help” benefit.

Brenda Lawrence, a MedCare Access specialist, will answer any questions at the events.

The sessions are free and open to the public, and a representative from Senior Services will be available to give information on services such as meal delivery to the homebound and wellness programs.

There will be presentations May 4 at 10 a.m. at Windsor Pharmacy, 12 E. Windsor Blvd., Suite A; May 9 and 23 at 1 p.m. at the Suffolk Workforce Development Center, 157 N. Main St.; and May 11 at 10 a.m. at Windsor Library, 18 Duke St.
